At Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America, we take on seemingly insurmountable obstacles – knowing it has the power to make a real difference in the lives of people struggling with debilitating diseases. It’s our responsibility and our honor.
For more than 300 years, our parent company, Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation (MTPC) in Japan, has proudly pursued medical advances; we’ve discovered and produced several first in class medicines for serious diseases, including multiple sclerosis (MS), diabetes mellitus (DM) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
While our global successes represent a strong part of our identity, we continue to build on this legacy by seeking new therapies for the pressing needs of patients in the U.S. We pledge to uphold our legacy and wayfaring spirit – always seeking out solutions to their most pressing needs.
Not many companies have a legacy as long as ours. For over 300 years, we have maintained the highest ethical standards and have placed top priority on fairness and integrity, all while contributing to the healthier lives of people around the world through the creation of pharmaceuticals.
Our logo takes the form of hands gently enfolding the health of people around the world, symbolizing Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma’s unlimited potential as a global research-driven pharmaceutical company. Each finger symbolizes the values that drive us forward.
As individuals, we have integrity. We show that we are doing the right thing by prioritizing safety and doing work that we’re proud of.
Together, we believe collaboration creates new value. We amplify our strengths, build trust for each other and celebrate teamwork.
Regarding others, we have respect. We show appreciation for each other and customers because we have mutual respect, valuing diversity and caring for people and the planet.
Through all of this, we deliver results through persistence. We take ownership of our responsibilities to deliver new value to stakeholders but are careful in our actions because we are responsible for the future.
We take a bold step forward with bravery. We think flexibly, have agility in our actions and embrace challenges along the way.
By taking on seemingly insurmountable obstacles, we give ourselves the opportunity to achieve remarkable things and make a real difference in the lives of people struggling with debilitating diseases.
Our people are tenacious and thrive on solving complex problems in science and medicine. This drive and personal commitment is at the core of our strength as an organization.
