Our ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic

Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America, Inc. (MTPA) takes very seriously the impact of COVID-19 on the community. As the pandemic continues to evolve in the United States, and healthcare providers (HCPs), patients and the general population continue to receive vaccinations, we remain committed to ensuring ongoing safe and reliable access to treatment.

Since the pandemic began over a year ago, the world has changed drastically. The U.S. healthcare system has faced unprecedented challenges, leading to shifts and adjustments in the medical processes and safety protocols. MTPA is encouraged by the scientific advancements developed over the last year to address COVID-19.

We are continuing to maintain regular communication with infusion providers regarding safety procedures during the pandemic. It is our understanding that infusion centers have been implementing additional safety protocols to address patient care, including vaccinations of staff when eligible. It is important that patients speak with their HCPs regarding any medical questions, including COVID-19 vaccine inquiries, during the pandemic.

Searchlight Support® has a fully operational team in place which is available to provide information and guidance for HCPs, patients and their caregivers regarding ordering and distribution support. To help address the potential impact on reimbursement approvals during the pandemic, MTPA also has implemented an electronic fax and DocuSign® process* with HCPs to enable signatures virtually, when possible. Anyone needing support should call Searchlight Support at 1-844-772-4548.

For general information and to learn more about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the JourneyMateTM program** is available to connect patients and their caregivers to live nurse educational support to help answer questions. A JourneyMate can be reached by calling 1-855-457-6968.
